I still think it has a much better overall experience than windows. If you keep trying to emulate your experience from windows in it you might have a hard time. The Command keys are located in between the Alt keys and the spacebar on the standard Mac keyboard, in similar locations to the Windows keys on Windows. I really like it and I prefer using it than a mouse.Īs someone that went through the same process I recommend just learn the mac way of doing things. The trackpad from Apple is something else. Some applications might need you to “unlock/allow” them because they’re not signed (usually developed by people not paying the developer subscription from Apple) you can download any apps and installing them usually are just copying the file to the applications folder. In mac though most shortcuts uses the command instead of the control like it would on windows, like copy for ex.

#MAC SWAP CONTROL AND COMMAND KEYS FULL#
When you are in semi-full screen (not completely full screen but covering the entire desktop, as if you pressed the maximize button on windows but not F11) does the application have rounded corners or square corners? Change the behavior of the modifier keys on Mac. Is there a way to snap windows on a Mac like on windows? I’ve seen some videos and they can’t snap it along the edge like on windows so they have to manually resize it.
#MAC SWAP CONTROL AND COMMAND KEYS INSTALL#
Is it difficult to install programs, like do you have to specifically always look for a Mac version or can you just download any application without worrying? (Viruses are obvious but I mean normal programs) What does the option and command keys do on a Mac? So, is there a way to change the key binds for these keys to swap them and also is it possible to physically swap the keys on the keyboard? On windows, control is in the very bottom left and function is next to it.

I checked apple’s page and it shows a picture of the apple laptop keyboard with function in the corner and control next to it.
I’m in the market for a new laptop and I’m a windows user who’s willing to try something new. Edit: added question 6 and I forgot to change the title from question 1
